A brain break is a short mental break taken during prolonged cognitive tasks to maintain productivity and creativity. Science supports that brief diversions help restore focus, reduce stress, and enhance learning. Studies show that after a brain break, individuals demonstrate improved task performance and increased ability to concentrate. This is due to the brain's attention networks requiring periodic rest to function optimally. Effective brain breaks involve activities like light exercise, hydration, or engaging in a brief, enjoyable task.
