Aquaman is a 2018 superhero film based on the DC Comics character of the same name. The movie follows Arthur Curry, the half-human, half-Atlantean heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, as he embarks on a quest to prevent a war between the underwater world and the surface world. Along the way, he must confront his half-brother, King Orm, and team up with Mera, a warrior and princess of Xebel. The film features stunning visual effects and action-packed sequences, and was directed by James Wan. It received generally positive reviews from critics and grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
