George W. Bush served as the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 to 2009. He was born in New Haven, Connecticut, and raised in Texas. Bush attended Yale University and later earned an MBA from Harvard Business School. He served as the Governor of Texas from 1995 to 2000 before being elected President. During his presidency, Bush initiated the War on Terror in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks, invaded Iraq in 2003, and signed into law the No Child Left Behind Act. He also faced criticism for his handling of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Bush currently resides in Texas.
